AUTO FUNCTIONS:
AUTO FILLING
: electromagnetic inlet valve will open automatically once the system is started and fill in with water automatically until the water level reaches the maximum level.
If the water level is still lower than the minimum required level 10 minutes after the start, it indicates faults of the water supply system, so all heating elements will turn off automatically.
AUTO WATER SUPPLEMENTING
: if the water level is lower than the required level during operation, auto water supplementing function will be ON and will open the inlet valve. Once the water level reaches the required level, auto water supplementing function turns OFF automatically. If water level is lower than the required level 3 minute after the water supplementing order is given, it indicates faults of the water supply system, all heating elements will turn off.

CONTROL PANEL DISPLAY
Temperature: The upper LCD will display the room temperature measured by the temperature sensor in the range of 43F-140F
Steam Cycle Time: The lower LCD will display the remaining steam cycle time. The factory default setting is 60 minutes.

For the past few months, our service department has been overwhelmed with service and assistance requests from buyers who have purchased products at extremely low prices that appear to be similar to the original well-known brand name “
STEAMIST
” Steam Generator. These imitation units carry the “
STEAMIST
” Officially Registered Logo, but call themselves “
STCMOET
”. Surely these imitation units have no relation to the original “STEAMIST” Steam Generator. These imitation steam generators are typically sold for around 0 or less. Shipping warehouse location is often in California, but the sellers are registered and based in China.
Often complaints include: “Dead on Arrival” or “complete generator breakdown after a few months of service”. Unfortunately, these sellers are ignoring customer requests for assistance, OR cannot help due to lack of experience.
Here are our Safety Concerns regarding the imitation steam generators:
- The imitators use 220V/50 Hz heating elements (Overseas Power Standard), not fully compatible with the 240V/60Hz Single Phase US Power Standards - even though the overseas seller tries to convince you otherwise.
- Overheating Protection is not installed, but is required by United States National Electrical Code (NEC) and Safety Standards.
- Steel water tanks will quickly corrode and can flood the house.
- Fragile plastic water inlet can crack.
We’d love to help everyone, but please understand that in order to make prices “dirt cheap”, these steam generators are made from substandard-quality parts, undercutting their safety, and do not have self-diagnostic systems, resulting in costly trouble-shooting. As result, these “dirt cheap” steam generators are not worth repairing.
