    I have just moved from my house in NJ where I was a big collector of a variety of objects to outfit my big Victorian. Now that we have moved to Florida, there is just no way to keep so many things.
    Description:
    These are a set of 4 dishes made by Marz & Gutherz of Carlsbad, Austria.
    The dating is most likely between 1850 and 1898.
    When I had first purchased these at auction, I thought they were transferware. However, as I now look through a magnifying glass, I can see the brush strokes.
    These are just plain fun. The scenery with the animals is just fanciful
    Measures just over 8.5” in diameter
    Marked on the back with the logo as well as 1850...which could be the model or the year....not sure
    Condition:
    Wear to gilding
    Some minor wear on plates
    The yellow plate has a white blotch in the pattern which makes me go back to thinking this could be transfer....really see zero transfer dots though
    No chips or cracks
    Wear to bottom
