Daum Art Glass Clear Vase with acid etched signature

Description

Beautiful Daum Art Glass Vase (clear), with an etched design and molded glass embellishments plus an acid signature around the base.
The vase is in pristine condition, with no marks or scratches and the rim is free of chips.
Measurements are: 6 1/2 inches in height and 5 1/2 inches in diameter at the top of the vase and 2 3/4 inches at the base.
Daum began production in 1878 and originally made the glass for watch and clock faces. At the beginning of the Art Nouveau period they began to venture into the field of Art Glass and quickly became established as one of the premier companies, often collaborating with notable artists of the time. They are still in production today at their main factory in Nancy, France and their glass works are still hand crafted.
