Bawo & Dotter Austria Turquoise & Gold Medallion Bread Plate Circa 1884-1914
Pretty scalloped edge porcelain bread plate. Decorated with a gold gilt floral scrollwork medallion in the center. With a border of dark turquoise with gold gilt overlay designs. Gold gilt designs along the inner rim.
Marked on the reverse in red with a crown over wings and Austria.This is considered an unidentified mark. However, I have had examples of this exact pattern with an Imperial Crown Austria mark which was used by Bawo & Dotter in Austria between 1884 and 1914.
Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 6 1/8 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
